GoCo Health Innovation City is a billion investment in new research and development environments in connection to AstraZeneca’s facility in Mölndal. The vision is to create a place with the potential to take global leadership in Life Science and health innovation. The upcoming signature building, GoCo House, will be completed by the end of the year, and a large number of visitors and tenants are expected to the site and are welcomed with Smart Travel Habits.

New habits for sustainable mobility must be formed and the timing is perfect. At new starts, such as moving in, we have a great chance of succeeding in breaking old patterns. To facilitate new habits, GoCo wants to help with a friendly push in the right direction. Smart Travel Habits is a good digital tool for just that. Smart Travel Habits uses nudging to facilitate more sustainable travel in everyday life and gathers information, tips, and interesting places e.g. walking, cycling, and public transport in one place.

“That an innovative workplace like GoCo chooses Smart Travel Habits to help its tenants create sustainable travel habits is incredibly fun! We look forward to the collaboration and to inspire more people to choose walking, cycling, or public transport together.” Natalie Kamra-Kregert, project manager for sustainable mobility and Smart Travel Habits, Nudgd.

GoCo Health Innovation City places great emphasis on sustainability. Innovators and visitors are welcomed with Smart Travel Habits to facilitate climate-friendly travel.

The tenants who move into GoCo’s area are international actors who work for or with health innovation and life science. With Smart Travel Habits, GoCo wants to make it easy for tenants who have moved in to get to know the local area in a climate-friendly way. And Mölndal has good conditions for sustainable mobility.

As the entire new destination is under construction, GoCo has gone one step further. Construction contractors are also offered Smart Travel Habits to make it easier to get to and from work in a climate-friendly way. GoCo wants to make it easier to park the car and choose other, more sustainable means of transport whenever possible.

“For us city developers and property owners, taking responsibility for the climate and human health is extremely important. Being able to facilitate new travel habits is an important part of this. Everything from the work commuting of the researcher who lives in the area within a few years, to the construction worker who today is thinking about how he can combine cycling with work commuting. With Smart Travel Habits, we have been able to simplify the process of talking about these issues with everyone who comes to the area, to be able to touch on more climate-smart behavior.” – Viktor Bakker, project manager GoCo Sustainability & Infrastructure

With a focus on innovation, well-being, and sustainability, GoCo Health Innovation City will be the place for new solutions to global health challenges. The cluster brings together different worlds and a diversity of expertise. The architecture communicates creativity and community. This forms a meeting place for new knowledge and cooperation. And sustainability, an area where GoCo is making major investments. With energy-efficient buildings, electric charging stations, mobility hubs, and several other climate-smart services, they will reduce their carbon footprint to be climate-neutral by 2030. Smart Travel Habits is part of the promotion of an innovative and sustainable location in Mölndal. GoCo wants to make it easy for people staying on-site to achieve increased well-being and climate-friendly habits – both at the individual level, for society, and the climate.

At Nudgd, we are pleased with the investments that GoCo is making for sustainable mobility and look forward to making it easier for GoCo’s employees to travel more climate-friendly.
